Simon and I live in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), an area that has been completely built from scratch in the last 5 years. SIP is similar to any other modern metropolis with its huge glass facade skyscrapers. However, when you take the subway westwards, you step into a different world: the old town of Suzhou. The old town is the opposite of SIP with its small houses and canals. Here, you feel like you're really in China. For us, it's a bit like being on vacation, even though we're in the same city. From the subway station, you can reach the so-called Tiger Hill via a small street: a park on a small hill with a tower. Or as we think: the leaning tower of Suzhou!
