To preface, if you visit LA, you must include a visit to the Universal Studios. To fully enjoy the park, plan for 2 days or order a 'Front of Line Pass'. With this pass, you have access to 'Gate A' at each attraction, a separate line.
We went on a Thursday, average wait time for attractions was about 60 min. With the pass, not even 10 min.
Harry Potter fans will especially enjoy it. A large part of the park is dedicated to him. You stroll through Hogsmeade, can buy goodies at Honeyduks, and of course, there are wands at Ollivanders. In Hogwarts, there's a 4D roller coaster, absolutely fantastic!
In general, the park holds a strong emphasis on 3D & 4D experiences, e.g. Transformers, The Mummy, and Shrek.
The Studio Tour was particularly worthwhile. They showed various film sets including special effects for 45 min, it felt like being in the middle of a movie. It included the original sets from Jaws, Jurassic Park, The Fast & Furious, and Ted.
Live performances are also part of the program, we particularly liked Waterworld.
Quick info:
We spent day 19 by the pool enjoying the wonderful weather of California. On day 20, we returned our RV and checked into the hotel.
So there isn't much to report :D
Next up is day 21: Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Downtown.
