Day 9 from Sabinillas to Marbella

Atejade: 06.04.2023

Today was a relaxed day, we first went to the laundromat after leaving the hotel. It's convenient to wash our sports clothes at the hotel and they dry by the next day. Since we only have a minimal supply of jeans, socks, underwear, and t-shirts, it was necessary. A Spanish laundromat required some interpretation ;-). While the laundry was being done, we had coffee and lemon cake for breakfast.

Today we rode about 50 km to Malaga. I think a lot of "rich" people live here and there were noticeably many English-speaking people around. The ride was beautiful, it went along the Mediterranean Sea for about 40 km, partly on the promenade and partly on well-designed paths.

In the afternoon, as usual, when we were looking for a hotel, we had to realize that the Easter holidays and the higher price level in this area far exceeded our expectations. We couldn't find a hotel within a reasonable radius. Even at the campsites, you can only get a camper or a cabin for a minimum of two nights. Now we understood why we brought tents along. So the two retirees ended up at the campsite. At least that way we can maintain some hygiene. What good is freshly cleaned laundry if the whole guy stinks.

In conclusion, I've already booked the hostel for Malaga, our destination tomorrow.

Now a little something for myself: I'm glad that my friend Heinzi is healthy again after leaving the hospital. Dear Sigi, I'm sure you've already found some spelling mistakes, but I don't care ;-). I wish you and especially our wives a happy Easter holiday, enjoy the time;

See you tomorrow (Pepe is already sleeping)
