24.10.18 - Port Macquarie

We arrived at the hostel in Port Macquarie around 2am. The hostel is very cool again! They had no problem with us arriving so late. We were able to relax in the morning. At 10 o'clock there were free pancakes and we were immediately integrated into the group of various backpackers. We were offered to join a coastal walk at 11 o'clock. Of course we did that. We packed our bags briefly and off we went. We were driven from the hostel to the lighthouse and then walked back along the coast to the hostel. We were a group of 5 people, but 4 of them were Germans... No English practice again😅

The walk was quite long... But we walked past beautiful beaches!

In the hostel we had a snack for lunch and then we went to the Koala Hospital.🐨 We were driven by the hostel again. They had already offered us that in the morning... I thought that was super nice of the hostel again! The Koala Hospital is a donation-funded facility for koalas that have injuries or infections. Some cannot be released back into the wild, but otherwise they are being tried to be released again. 🐾 That was really nice there!

In the evening, we joined a large group from the hostel and went to a pub in the city for dinner. Now we're waiting for the time because the next bus doesn't leave until 1.20am... 😕
