Filigree rocks and fine wines

We would like to take a closer look at Séguret, so we make another attempt. This time when the weather is nice. First, we follow the signpost "Château" at the village entrance and after about 20 minutes we reach the castle ruins of Séguret. A little further down there is a small viewing terrace from which you have a great view of the village and the Rhône plain. This is where the Côte du Rhône grows! Interestingly, on this side of Vaison la Romaine the land is as flat as a frying pan, in complete contrast to the hilly landscape on the other side. Séguret is really pretty, but also a bit touristy. We then drive on to Sablet, then to the Dentelles de Montmirail and via Suzette back to Entrechaux. Here in this corner of Provence, delicious wines grow on a wide variety of terroirs, including the world-famous Gigondas.
