Today's drive took us from Salt Lake City to Bryce Canyon, a journey of about five hours covering 450 kilometers. Before arriving at Bryce Canyon, we passed through Red Canyon. As the name suggests, the earth suddenly turns red and beautiful rock formations emerge. Before Bryce Canyon, we checked in at the campground. Inside the canyon, there was heavy traffic and all parking spaces were taken. A ranger kindly but firmly explained to us that a motorhome of this size was not allowed in the parking lots. So we parked our RV at the entrance of the park and used the free shuttle, which conveniently takes you from one viewpoint to another.
In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious dinner by a campfire and admired the magnificent night sky, which apparently is best observed at Bryce Canyon in the entire USA.
