Today it worked out :) My first hike in beautiful Colorado. With cold 0 degrees, but gorgeous sunshine, it was a lot of fun. The mountains are simply magnificent.... Even though I'm normally not the biggest fan of driving, the journey to the mountain hiking trails is an absolute dream. The soul can relax despite the traffic in the car...
Journey to Red RocksDrive to the first hiking trail As beautiful as the car rides are, unfortunately they are unavoidable. Getting to the mountains by public transport is difficult to impossible. And since I'm not yet 25, it's incredibly expensive for me to rent a car here... so I once again looked for a driver and luckily it worked out: I met another traveler with a car from Libya and spent a day of hiking with him. Exciting landscape and exciting culture, so in every respect an exciting day!Red RockOur hiking day started in the Red Rocks, a beautiful mountain area of the Rocky Mountains. Here we could see huge mountains and, above all, climb them, a dream!Way to Eldorado SpringsSnow-covered mountains during the hikeKathrin conquering the mountains No matter which direction you looked while hiking, there were different impressions everywhere. It's amazing that on one side you can see a ski resort, while in other corners you can see sun-dried grass. Kathrin in her element climbing on stones As much as the mountains fascinate me, it's crazy that you often have to fly far away to pursue your love. So my travel companion, from Libya!!!, had to make me aware of the beauty of the Alps. Why not just treat yourself to a break in the Alps at home if you like the mountains so much? Why have I never been to Switzerland and have to fly to the USA to follow my mountain love? Sometimes we humans are really crazy :D. I hope that after my return, I will appreciate the beauty of Europe more. But until then, I hope there will be many more hikes in beautiful Colorado!
