Vancouver is a really cool city. Here you have practically everything, beach, mountains, sea and of course the city itself. The many green areas make the city very pleasant and now in summer there are many events everywhere in the city.
While I was here among others the Canada Day, with live music and a fireworks in the evening, which we watched from Stanley Park. On this day everyone wears something red or white.
Other events were the Kitsilano Street Party and the Commercial Drive Car Free Day. A large part of a street was closed off for each event and there were many stalls with various things to try or buy. And like almost all events here, there was also live music.
Another very cool event is Symphony at Sunset, where the symphony orchestra gives a free concert on the beach.
In Vancouver and the surrounding area there are also countless opportunities for outdoor activities.
The Grouse Grind is a quite strenuous hiking trail up Grouse Mountain. That's 853 meters of ascent over a distance of 2.9 km. When I did it, I was practically walking in a cloud, which was quite OK for the trail. Unfortunately, I didn't have a view at the top. It took me 1 hour and 10 minutes to complete the trail.
Other trips were to Deep Cove and Bowen Island.
In Vancouver, I also bought a car for my road trip:
A Dodge Grand Caravan that has been converted into a camper. With a bed and everything else you need.
