Koh Samui 22.12.

Atejade: 26.12.2023

A huge highlight was waiting for us today. After a quiet first night on Koh Samui, we started looking for two scooters so we could explore the island better.

Afterwards we went to an elephant rescue station. For many years, this organization has been taking care of elephants, which in previous years were either used as farm animals for heavy loads or abused for tourist purposes. The facility was very spacious and lovingly designed so that the seven elephants living here can lead a better life than before.

In a small group, we were able to admire these impressive animals up close and even feed them a snack (watermelon). For both of us, this was another unforgettable experience on our trip.

After a stay of around 45 minutes we went on to the so-called “Tree Bridge Coffee”. A café hidden in the middle of the jungle of Koh Samui.

Once there, we first hiked on a jungle path to two adjacent waterfalls. On the way there we encountered, among other things, very large spiders and even a small snake.

A little exhausted after this hike, we treated ourselves to a cool drink in the café and enjoyed the view for a while.

We then continued on by scooter to two small but beautiful temple complexes. The last highlight of the day was a visit to one of the most famous viewpoints on Koh Samui, where we were able to have dinner with a great view over the island.

That was really a special day for us.
