Today we set off after a homemade breakfast to supposedly the most beautiful beach in Florida, Clearwater Beach.
Before that, we stopped in St. Petersburg where I really wanted to see the tipped-over Pyramid House. Unfortunately, we found a construction site and no house at the location... hmmm... but not far from there, we also noticed the Dhali Museum, and later I was also compensated with a view of the Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays.
We continued to the home of the manatees (we believe we saw one in the water) in Clearwater and Clearwater Beach. And I'm not joking, Warnemünde has a great beach, but I've never seen anything like this before. Powder sugar white and hot beach... Copa Cabana flair. We had some trouble finding a suitable parking space, but in the end, we had a wheelchair spot right at the beach access. Perfect.
Mom and Dad also took the opportunity to take a swim in the Gulf of Mexico. Many young people, in particular, used the beach as a catwalk or backdrop for great photos. You can really relax here.
Naturally, we had already planned to eat steak in the States during these days. It's supposed to be really delicious at Outback Steakhouse. The navigation system also led us to one. And we were not disappointed. 2x Sirloin and a Filet Mignon for me were amazing. Rarely have I eaten such good meat. The prices were very comparable, slightly cheaper than in a good steakhouse back home. We paid about 20 EUR per person. That'll be tight for us back in Germany.
We stayed at a Knights Inn, simple, affordable, and totally okay. Tomorrow we're going to Orlando!!!
