Before we took the ferry to Koh Phi Phi, we made all the necessary preparations. But we did this searching and under time pressure. If we had known beforehand that we could have gotten all of this relaxed on Koh Phi Phi, we wouldn't have stressed ourselves out. But who could have known that the island is not small and cute, but a consumer and party island.
This led us to the decision to only stay there for two nights and since we took the ferry in the middle of the day, we effectively only had one day. But we made perfect use of it.
A dreamy island day!
We booked a boat tour around the whole island, where we had several stops for snorkeling, swimming, and enjoying the beaches. Because the beaches were just as you imagine them, with real white powdery sand and turquoise water with colorful, curious fish. Simply fantastic!
We even enjoyed our life at Maya Bay, which is the beach from the movie "The Beach". Besides the beaches and the unbelievably beautiful water, it was just overwhelming how the gigantic rock formations jutted out of the sea. It's amazing how lush they are and how washed out they are on the water's surface. Fascinating what our Earth has to offer.
That was real dream vacation feeling for a day and we can only recommend it to everyone. Just not during the high season and not during the peak of the rainy season.
What made us very sad was the plastic and cigarette butts in the sea.

Koh Phi Phi was our last stop in Thailand for now. But as already mentioned, for now, because now we are traveling to Malaysia and Singapore and from Singapore we will fly back to Bangkok to be able to explore the north of Thailand.
Therefore, there will not be the usual food post and the vs. Thailand posts now. We are taking a little break from Thailand and will only properly finish it after we have seen everything.
So until then! 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♂️
Just kidding, see you in Malaysia 🇲🇾
