According to writer Pearl Sydenstricker Buck, many people miss out on the small happiness while waiting in vain for the big one. And undoubtedly, it was extensive travel plans that were disrupted and perhaps even rendered useless by particularly crisis-prone circumstances affecting the globe as a whole in the respective year. In any case, this year I was able to find the small happiness in terms of travel during my journey through the Main and Tauber valleys, including here in Wertheim. In Wertheim, where the Tauber flows into the Main, enriching the Main with its water, just like my stay here in Wertheim has been an essential enrichment of my small but finely adorned travel adventure.
In this sense, I would describe Wertheim as a little jewel box. As a jewelry box that, as the pictures above now show, looks just as enchanting in the rain as it does in the sunshine or under a partly cloudy sky.
Jewelry boxes can only enchant and convey a sense of small (travel) happiness to the observer if the observer themselves, imbued with deep understanding, can consider such treasures as enchanting and experience the presented photos of my journey metaphorically as images to be seen as lovely. Can or want to experience.
