After a few days of road closure due to avalanche danger and a detour to a slightly remote campground, we were finally able to take the famous boat tour in Milford Sounds.
The journey there was truly breathtaking, but the parking lot on site was not. You already pay for everything else in this town and national park, and then you have to pay $10 an hour for parking. Since the boat tour alone lasts for 2 hours, we had to pay for 3 hours to start with.
At least the boat tour was totally worth it, but afterwards, we quickly got out of the town.
We booked the tour through Juicy on Booking and paid $42 per person, which was really cheap :-). Now we can finally continue our journey.
