Day 3 - Education has never harmed anyone and my shared apartment life

Atejade: 21.11.2017

This morning, a free walking tour was on the agenda. Julia already knew about it and also had to pack her things and do laundry.

Unfortunately, I didn't make a reservation and it was fully booked. But I thought I could somehow get in. It worked out because 2 people didn't show up. They couldn't have had a hangover, there was nothing to drink in Colombia yesterday 😂

Then followed a 4-hour tour through the city center, which I rarely experienced. Almost every city trip starts with a walking or biking tour for us. That way you get a great overview. And this one with Julio in perfect English was truly outstanding. Plenty of cultural, political, and historical information, especially about recent history - sounds boring, but it wasn't. Julio made it very entertaining with the Spaniards, the gold rush, the coffee business, the drug trade, daily murders in the 80s and 90s, etc. If you ever end up here: This is a must!

After a little snack, I went back to my "shared apartment". Short explanation: Julia had a shared apartment with a Portuguese and a Belgian until 5 days ago. For the last few days and until we continue our journey, we are subletting a quite nice little house. 8 rooms, 2 bathrooms, terrace with a grill, kitchen ... everything you need. But this unimaginable chaos.... phew 😅

But at least you can eat off the floor... if you're a cockroach 😜....

Here live a Swiss, a Dutch, a Belgian, an Argentine, a German, a crazy combo of Armenian and Brazilian, a New Zealander, and the two of us. In addition, about 20 guests who change hourly. I think starting tomorrow, I'll make everyone wear name tags. It should also state which languages they speak. This place definitely needs some organization - in all respects 🤣

But since we'll be leaving soon, I'll manage. They are all super nice, for sure. I can't say the same about the New Zealander because no matter how much I concentrate, I just can't understand him - even though he supposedly speaks English 😄

So now I'm going to take some stalking photos of the chaos and the scooter parked in the hallway, so you believe me too.

And alcohol is back today.

¡Hasta mañana!

Na dann Prost. Nach drei, vier Bier klappt das auch mit dem Kiwi. Noch viel Spaß ihr zwei.
