Wow, I thought today. Greece always has wonderful surprises in store. After a short but beautiful evening with Birgit and Thomas outside the bus with a view of the illuminated Poros, we went to the Methana peninsula around noon. Once again, I felt like I had found a gift in finding the way there. Methana is a volcanic island. The last eruption was around 1700. On the way, we met Jürgen, who didn't want to walk the little volcano hike alone. Burki took his medication so that he could also join. It took about 30 minutes to walk to the endpoint. Fantastic views along the way, even to Athens. At the end of the path, you could still go a bit into a kind of fissure in the rock, and with a bit of imagination, it's boiling under your feet. 😂
Especially the red color of the rock, with the green of the trees and the blue of the sea, a feast for the eyes. Overall, a little gem of the Methana peninsula.
Afterwards, we went to a beach to take a break. On the way to Epidaurus, great conditions to take beautiful pictures.
Tomorrow morning, we want to take another look at the ancient theater, because it's been a damn long time since we were here.
Thank you Birgit and Thomas for the nice time in your awesome vehicle. Travelers always have something to talk about, I love it.
