Waking up at seven thirty. Everything is packed actually, but it looks surprisingly little (see picture 3). Thanks to my father who has an appointment in Frankfurt, I arrived at the airport on time. Due to the storm 'Sabine', it was unclear whether my plane would depart or whether I would have made it to the airport by train.
Check-in went smoothly, now I'm waiting in the quiet areas for boarding. The first flight to Ho Chi Minh Airport, Vietnam, is expected to take eleven hours. Hopefully I can get some sleep to be well-rested and explore the city during my layover. Afterwards, I will continue the remaining journey to Kuala Lumpur around noon, where hopefully my driver will be waiting for me to take me directly to the hostel. After a swim in the Infinite Pool and a bite to eat, I will probably go to sleep exhausted.
Thanks to my parents and friends, I feel well prepared, but of course I'm still curious to see how everything turns out. I already know some highlights and various hidden places, have a few euros in each local currency and contacts on site.
Now the adventure begins for real!
