The breakfast was in the same league as the room. Nothing was missing - from good Prosecco to Egg Benedict and filleted oranges and avocado salad. Smoothie and juices and fresh coconut - simply brilliant.
Afterwards we wanted to take the Hoppon-Hoppoff bus, but we were advised against it because of the heat. We should rather take the evening tour (it's the same route) from 5:00 pm. We planned it that way and first withdrew money -> 6,000,000 Dong (about 240 €). It can be quite sweaty with these price indications and conversions.
The Vietnamese are still in New Year mode today, so the market and many shops are still closed. We felt like we walked around our hotel and towards the market and were already sweating. The two girls bought a dress with pants in the matching traditional modern style. Then we went to the hotel pool until it was time for the bus.
Bought tickets and were surprised that there were 1-hour/4-hour and 24-hour tickets to choose from. We just wanted to get an overview of the city, so we chose 1 hour. The lady then accompanied us to the queue and we had to wait for about 35 minutes for the bus, as only the open-air seats were occupied. Then it was already dark and off we went, but again different than usual. We were informed that there are no headphones for explanations in the evening. So we had a nice evening ride on the bus without any explanations. Just before the end it started to rain - we got off and took shelter on a covered stage and the monsoon rain poured down for about 30 minutes.
Afterwards the street vendors were gone and we finally went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. Karolina and I had the Pho Bo soup, Uwe had spaghetti with lobster and squid, and Carolin had a pizza (which was really good in taste and consistency of the crust).
Then we briefly went to the onsen bath (about 40 degrees Celsius) on the 6th floor.
