Cloudy with some sun in the afternoon
We are drawn to the neighboring fjords, so we pass through four tunnels and visit the fishing village of Husøy first. It is located on an island that we reach via a dam, and we go for a walk there.
It is Sunday and not much is going on, only a large group of churchgoers, some even in traditional costumes, gather in front of the church.
After visiting the lighthouse, we return to the car and drive further along the fjord. Suddenly, there are some reindeer next to the road, and of course, we stop to observe them and take photos. Gondula takes the opportunity to pick blueberries and lingonberries.
In Botnhamn, we leave the car at the ferry port and hop on our bikes to ride as far north as possible. We reach the small town of Laukvik, which even has a campsite and several sandy beaches to offer.
We have our lunch break at the most beautiful one, with a view of the open sea. The water is clear and turquoise blue, and if it were just a little warmer, Gondula would go swimming immediately.
