Hello! ๐Ÿค

Here we are: in Mexico! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐ŸŒฎ

On March 31, we set off early in the morning. But before that, we exchanged the bus for two vans as they are better for driving in the mountains of Mexico. We had to cross the border into Mexico and then purchase a visa on the other side for our time here. It's kind of funny that you can just buy one here...

Our goal for the day was to reach the town of Rio Chico and stay overnight with people the ranch knows. That alone took us a whole day. When we arrived in the evening, we had a delicious dinner. Of course, I was once again introduced to a new culture. One might think that I will soon experience a culture shock. ๐Ÿ˜‚

The next morning, we wanted to go for a short hike up a mountain where there was also a cross. So we set off relatively early to be there before sunrise. We had an amazing view over the small village where we stayed. ๐Ÿ˜

Here in Mexico, everything is quite dry and water is scarce. But I love the plants! ๐Ÿฅฐ However, it does depend on the specific location in Mexico. It's astonishing to see how little people here can get by with and how much we have. We could buy anything and we have more than enough.

After breakfast, we continued south in Mexico. Our last longer journey had begun. Along the way, we made a stop in a town where you can buy huge packs of cheese puffs. I've never seen anything like it! They're almost as big as me! ๐Ÿ˜‚

After another 6 hours, we arrived at our destination: Babรญcora in Mexico. That's where our mission trip is taking place. And now we are here. More details will be provided in the next post. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Goodbye โ˜บ๏ธ
