From San Jose we headed straight to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. We were fed up with big cities and wanted to get to the sea as quickly as possible. Surprisingly, everything went smoothly with the bus; we arrived in Purto Viejo at around 8:30 p.m. But we didn't have any accommodation yet ๐Ÿ™ˆ With the help of a nice German-speaking local who gave us his WiFi password, we were able to look for places to stay overnight. We found a nice accommodation not far from the sea and the center. A great bungalow with a kitchen (only when we wanted to smoke shisha did we notice the kitchen was without a stove ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿซฃ) We enjoyed the days in Puerto Viejo, we particularly liked the cool vibes, chilled reggae music coming from everywhere, cool beach bars and restaurants , perfect attitude to life and exactly what we were looking for at the moment. Another highlight was the Cahuita National Park, which runs along a beautiful stretch of coast. Right at the beginning we saw the first animals: monkeys.๐Ÿ˜

Later there were sloths (finding them between the trees is like looking for a needle in a haystack) but with the help of other visitors we discovered these too ๐Ÿ˜…. The path was adventurous and at times went through swamp/water with signs โ€œBeware of crocodilesโ€ ๐Ÿ™ˆ. The path was really beautiful ๐Ÿ˜after almost 10 km of walking we reached the end.

In Punta Uva (beach section near Puerto Viejo) we discovered 2 sloths, one was hanging on a lily and drinking from the river. It was funny to watch ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

From Puerto Viejo via San Jose we took the bus to Dominical - the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. ๐Ÿž๏ธ๐Ÿž๏ธ
