16.6 - Ventimiglia Day 2 - Trip to Monaco

If you're already here, you'll obviously want to see Monaco/Monte Carlo. I have no expectations. OK, you've heard of the marina and some of the rich people who live there (or have their residence there because of the taxes).

But when we arrive there by train and stroll through the small principality, we are - horrified is too much - not exactly thrilled. It is a thoroughly feudal place. The yachts, the hotels, the cars, the casino. All of this radiates power and money and tells you that you don't belong there and never will.

Thank God we don't want that either. Katja likes to speculate about what rich people do in their free time. I think they get bored a lot.
