Krka National Park

Our start in Krka National Park was rather disappointing, the chosen campsite was already full. After driving around for too long, we finally found a nice camping spot and could enjoy a peaceful coffee break while Heidi played and splashed around in the washing-up bowl. It turned out to be a really lovely afternoon! The next day started with a birthday breakfast and cake to celebrate, followed by a visit to the national park. However, the park is very touristy and we were kicked out at the entrance along with five tour buses. All these people then walked together over narrow bridges amidst beautiful waterfalls. The nature was indeed very beautiful, but we couldn't fully enjoy it. Luckily, it was already Heidi's nap time, so it worked out fine. Our 40 โ‚ฌ entrance ticket (!) also included the rest of the park. So we drove to the northern part, where we almost didn't find the waterfalls, but had a very good snack platter and met another birthday person who celebrated their day with plenty of schnapps. After that, we found a nice hike where the three of us could enjoy the nature. Heidi was able to take her first swim in the pool back at the campsite, and we will let the day come to an end in peace and quiet. A truly wonderful birthday!

Zuljana - Camping Vucine

With that, we had seen everything that Krka National Park had in store for us, so we continued south. By pure coincidence, we found a wonderful campsite a bit secluded from the main road and enjoyed five full days in the perfect Croatian bay, with a small town nearby and plenty of space to relax. We had homemade wine and vegetables and fruits from the garden. We went stand-up paddling, cooked, swam, walked, read books, and made new friends, including babies. This is exactly how we imagined our time here!
