Molsheim - and then goodbye!

Molsheim in Alsace - the very last stage. Instead of staying at the city campground in Strasbourg as planned, we unexpectedly ended up about 20 km away at the Camping Municipal de Molsheim a couple of days ago.

Never heard of Molsheim? Neither did we. But pay attention, educational gap! Because this is where Ettore Bugatti developed and constructed his legendary racing cars. Molsheim is still very connected to its world-famous designer, and it has even erected a monument to him in the city park.

After it rained again during the night and in the morning, the sun made an appearance for two or three hours in the afternoon. We took advantage of this to take a walk through the town, and because the sun provided warmth and good light, we even found our way to the nearby vineyards, where the autumn leaves on the vines glowed golden yellow. A perfect ending to our trip to the North Sea and back - tomorrow we will drive home through Mülheim and Basel. Well then, goodbye - until next time!
