Finally, today we're going to the Atlantic Road!
Unpleasantly awakened early in the morning by the construction site right next to the parking lot, we decided to leave Kristiansund immediately. The first time cloudy weather on our trip and a cool 11 degrees with a rough Atlantic breeze, brrr.
My plan to ride directly to the Atlantic Road on my bike failed not only because of the Atlanterhavstunnelen (a tunnel just under 6 meters under the Atlantic and not passable for bicycles), but also the frosty weather didn't make me feel like cycling. So, for now, with Louise over the street. Impressive!
Towards the end, we parked and took a hike on a circular trail. In addition to the impressive landscape, we encountered a very excited herd of cows. After Della positioned them all for a perfect photo, Louise and I continued on the Atlantic Road. We grabbed the first convenient parking space and had a delicious breakfast with an incredible panoramic view.
A short time later, the sun came out, I took out my racing bike and off we went, you could take countless photos all along the way... what a unique experience!
There was no question about spending the night on the Atlantic Road. With the binoculars, there was much to discover, in addition to countless seagulls and passing ships, there were also some pretty birds called oystercatchers.
It's a bit cooler right by the Atlantic, especially the cool breeze made us take out our thick jackets for the first time.
For dinner, we had Fiskekaker, we still don't know exactly what it is even after eating it, something between pancakes and tofu with fish taste. But it was quite tasty together with the tomato salad.
To top off the day, we were able to experience the sunset in the sea, solve a few puzzles, and listen to great music. Thanks to Sibylle for the great idea of the shared long-term camper vacationers playlist, keep on rocking :-)
