The Hasbruch, a primeval forest in the north

There are several parking lots around Hasbruch that are also large enough for motorhomes.

From there, you can take a nice walk into the 'primeval forest'.

The Lower Saxony Forestry Commission allows some parts of their forest areas to be self-regulating. Dead wood remains and provides food and shelter for beetles and other creatures.

Dead trees are left standing and are then called habitat trees.

Here, humans can see how nature reclaims its space.
