Neuseeland ~Auckland 🇳🇿

After an exciting security check with the discovery of a pair of nail scissors in Jojo's bag, which she was allowed to keep and take with her :) and a drug and explosives quick test on me, we flew to Auckland within the next 3 hours.🎟️🇳🇿Upon arrival, we were once again greeted by a huge security chaos with extra checks for our souvenirs such as shells, snorkels, medication, and coffee. 👮🏼‍♀️🛃We spent our 5 days in the city with small excursions, starting with a bicycle city tour, where we accidentally discovered a famous pink bike lane. 🚲 When visiting the television tower, we enjoyed the beautiful view over the city, until I randomly saw my former boss next to me~ it's a small world after all!Originally, we had signed up for a boat trip to observe whales and dolphins, but it was canceled due to strong winds... 😢 As compensation, we were given a sailing boat tour through the harbor and under Auckland's Harbour Bridge, which still became a special experience. ⛵ In the evening, we hiked to Mount Eden with Jonathan (from our hostel) to watch the sunset. 🌆The highlight of our New Zealand trip was a day trip to the Hobbit film sets in Matamata, where we could immerse ourselves in the dreamy fantasy world of Bilbo, Gandalf, and more. 🌺👨🏽‍🌾📽️We spent our last evening with the new people we met on the rooftop terrace of our hostel, enjoying the sunset. 🌃
