This report simply didn't want to go online last week
Today we are standing on Lake Ontario in Prequ'ile Provincial Park in beautiful weather. We were here yesterday at lunchtime after spending 3 hours repairing our left front tire. We enjoy every hour of sunshine that we are given and went hiking early. Now on the weekend we see how many families spend their time at the campsite here in Canada. We camp and the children grow up outside.
This week we looked at old times in Canada. The first paper factory in Sagnenay, for example. The old buildings have been restored, everyone can look at the history and at the same time theater events and concerts are held there.
Likewise the museum village “Upper Canada Village. It is interesting to go back to the 18/19. Immerse yourself in the 19th century. We know something like this from our Vogtsbauernhöfe in the Black Forest. Here you can really relive the old times. Whether it's the mill, the spinning mill or the blacksmith shop - the people are there with their whole hearts and bring you closer to the times. It was fun and dad, you would have really liked that!
There was also the fortress in Québec City, although we liked the little town better with its alleys and nice shops and restaurants. It is lively and colorful. We were able to easily reach the city by bike from our parking space.
We continue west. In Montréal we had a shock in the highway traffic jam. We haven't seen so many cars in a long time. We arrived 1 hour late to meet Carmen, who we had arranged to meet at her house. Instead of being greeted with coffee So she gave us wine. We had two lovely hours together.
On the way to Toronto the next day we decided to patch our tire, as mentioned at the beginning. It's easier to drive when the air isn't constantly disappearing.
Toronto is next
It's crazy that tomorrow we'll already be half way through our trip until December
See you then
