After arriving in Canggu, I went straight to bed to catch up on the 30 hours of sleep I missed and guess what... I ended up sleeping for 12 hours straight. Apparently, my body needed it 🙄.
So I had Monday left to explore Canggu. First, I took a scooter to the Tanah Lot temple. It's located in the sea on a rock. Unfortunately, there seems to be a Chinese invasion going on at the time I was there, so I had to fight my way through crowds of people. Well, the temple was nice, but I already shared my views on buildings 😅 Nice, though...
Afterwards, I cruised around a bit and came across a bistro where they served the national dish Babi Guling. In other words, roasted suckling pig 😉. I couldn't miss out on that.
In the afternoon, I spent some time at the beach and various beach bars, and organized my final onward journey. I'll be heading back to Kuta, where I started, for another 2 nights. Canggu didn't really impress me. It's highly praised, but in the end, it's just like Kuta and Co. Surf schools, hotels, beach... Well, the beach is black here... Uhhhhh 😂
Well then... Here's to the last few days in beautiful Bali...
