One last time, we struggle to get out of the narrow beds as packing and cleaning up awaits us. Enjoy the last slice of toast and the Rice Crispies. The toilet is emptied and cleaned one last time, then we set off towards Kelty, to the motorhome depot.
On time at eleven, we arrive and have to queue, two other motorhomes are being returned ahead of us. In the meantime, our personal taxi driver Paul arrives with his English taxi. He has to wait for a while. The bumper is quickly inspected and noted - let's see if there's anything else.
Then Paul takes us to the hotel near Edinburgh airport and takes one last photo with us. Since it's only 1:00 pm, we decide to rush to the nearby shopping mall to get some more memories or other junk (we still have pounds on hand).
The mall only excites Mom and Sophie (yay, a GAP, we don't have that at home), Felix and Dad, who would like to have a football jersey, decide to go to the city center after all.
The city center is still crowded (Fringe Festival - see first day), but we find a shop where the boys can buy a Celtic jersey. Several yards (or more like miles) on foot and an outfit with kilts for the whole family later, we find ourselves back at the hotel, where we end the evening in the restaurant. Last chance to try haggis - a Scottish specialty. You have to like it...
Tomorrow morning we'll be back in Vienna - I hope the readers enjoyed it as much as we did!
Best regards,
The Döpfls
