Arches National Park

We set off to the next natural spectacle. The path led us to Moab, a very touristy place with many offers for adventure tours and also the gateway to Arches National Park. Once again an impressive and unique place but also terribly hot. Many interesting rock formations... we have baptized it the land of fertility symbols ;-) The stone towers look bizarre and the rock arches seem to defy all laws of gravity. Formed over millions of years of changing ground elevations and depressions. So what you see is just a snapshot of the process. Many of the arches and towers are clearly visible and easy to reach. The most famous of these arches is probably the Delicate Arch. However, this is associated with a sweaty hike, which is definitely worth it. Once you have accomplished this, you will be rewarded with an inexplicable rock formation, in front of a backdrop of high mountains and bizarre, colorful rock formations in the surrounding area. Interestingly, on the way to the Arches, we had a bizarre appearance from Star Wars ;-) It would have fit into the surroundings anyway.

The tour continued through endless, mountainous desert landscapes without any greenery or water. Only straight roads, a few trucks, and a lot of nothingness. The almost always identical picture here in the west of the USA.
