Day 24 AUDIERNE 08/28/2022

Today we are having a lazy day at the campsite. Doing laundry, reading, and writing the blog. The washing machine and dryer worked perfectly. The only problem was with ordering the bread in advance, so I drove into town and stood in the long line in front of the bakery. There's always a long wait in front of the bakeries, especially the ones that offer the best goods. Once I was finally inside, I understood why. There are so many tempting cake options. So I bought the typical Breton cake in a large round piece, paid after it was weighed, and left the store with a cardboard box and a baguette. Very French!

The day at the campsite went by quickly. But our dinner plan (potatoes with quark) didn't work out as planned! Quark, as we know it, is not available here, so Karin mixed simple quark with cream cheese and goat cheese. Super delicious and savory. The only thing we didn't have were the potatoes because the kitchen she found the day before and planned to use was only reserved for guests who booked the rooms. But it still tasted great!

On the other hand, the night was very warm and we even sweated in our layers. Once again, there was a fair-like atmosphere with noisy rides and loud music. Turns out, the four days of our stay coincided with the annual folk festival! Unlucky.
