The food in Spain is very different. Spaniards eat A LOT OF MEAT. Life is best lived with meat and that surprises me because meat is not healthy. Typical foods are omelettes, fish, cookies and a lot of milk. In comparison, in Germany, they eat all their meals with potatoes and the Spaniards were very confused. Also, the meal times are very different. In Spain, they eat before school at a quarter to eight, after school at three in the afternoon, and in the evening at ten-thirty. In Germany, we have breakfast at school during breaks, after school at four-thirty or at two-fifteen at home, and in the evening at eight we have dinner. The afternoon meal is the most important in Spain and they eat something very hot, for example, omelettes. For breakfast, they eat milk with cookies or just a coffee. The coffee is very delicious! But I had to get used to it. We don't eat much for dinner (just the leftovers from the afternoon meal). I believe that dinner is more important, so it was a bit strange. Another thing that is new to me is that many people don't know what vegetarian means. I always got a delicious replacement, but only one percent of the people are vegetarian. Not many...
