Now it's time... it's starting! I have 100 days ahead of me full of new impressions, experiences, new acquaintances, exciting adventures, nature, culinary experiments, longing for Hamburg, seeing old friends again, fulfilling dreams, gaining distance, coming up with new ideas, pushing my own limits, leaving my comfort zone, trying something new, not thinking about my professional future, considering if I packed the right things for 3 months, wondering how it will be when I arrive back in Hamburg after 3 months...
It's going to be exciting! My goal is to let you participate in my experiences as much as possible. I want to post at least one dish for every day. After all, my blog is called '100 Dishes Around the World'. This should be very interesting especially in Hong Kong.
I'm looking forward to it the most, because I have no experience with Asian cuisine!
Here's a brief outlook on what awaits me in the next 100 days.
The first stop will be Hong Kong.
After 5 days, I will continue to New Zealand. Arriving in Christchurch. I will then explore the South Island for three weeks, spending a little over a week in the wine regions in the northern part of the South Island. The enjoyment must not be neglected, after all! ;-)
With the ferry to Wellington, I will then explore the North Island for 2 weeks (unfortunately, there are also plenty of wineries here that are worth a visit).
After 5 weeks, I will continue to Australia. The first stop will be Sydney. Then about 3 weeks along the east coast heading north and see what the day brings. The remaining 2 weeks are still open.
In late April, I will then continue for a short stopover in Hawaii (8 days).
After that, in early May, I will continue to the west coast of the USA.
SFO, Napa Valley, Portland and Seattle.
In mid-May, I will make my way back to a reunion with Hamburg. Because in Hamburg, we say goodbye and mean goodbye...

Hamburg bid me farewell today with a beautiful sunny day, icy temperatures, and a frozen Alster...
