We say goodbye to Geiranger and take the ferry through the fjord to Hellesylt. Passing Bergen with its stories and many waterfalls, such as the 7 sisters who are still single according to legend. A suitor from the opposite side finally resorted to the bottle as none of the sisters answered him. 😉🤔 On the steep cliffs, there were farms until the 1960s that were cultivated. Goats and sheep were kept and fruit was grown. Children were tied to a rope while playing so they wouldn't fall. One farm was designed in such a way that it could only be reached with a ladder. When the tax collector arrived, the ladder was pulled up so no taxes could be paid. 😄😂 The next leg of our motorhome journey takes us through landscapes that look alpine. There are no reindeer to be found here. Cows, sheep, and goats graze on the lush green meadows, provided they don't block the traffic, as the grass on the other side of the road might taste better. 🐮🐑🐐
