It's Thanksgiving in Canada, we have a day off and we're taking a trip to the botanical garden in Montreal. The day starts with sunshine, which is unfortunately soon replaced by clouds that bring some rain. It gets very cold and we only explore a smaller part of the garden, but it is already very impressive. The variety of trees and the colorful autumn leaves are very relaxing. There are also play areas for children, so it's a great place for families to visit.
In the evening, we booked the light show. Unfortunately, it became bitterly cold by then and a warm restaurant took a long time to find. Luckily, we found the pumpkin exhibition with all the decorated Halloween pumpkins, where we could spend the evening and warm up.
For the light show, you check in like at an airport and then follow a marked path through lantern-adorned gardens. This year, the Chinese, First Nations, and Japanese gardens are decorated. It is very colorful and lively, but it is also something different if you have never seen it before. Definitely dress warmly and bring some food, they haven't discovered this market gap yet to spoil the guests a bit.
