One of the many beautiful places is the orange plantations in the mountains. The drive is up a winding road to Mae Rim. We arrive at the village after about 1 hour and at a temperature of nearly 34 degrees. There are not only orange plantations, but also many vegetable and flower fields in magnificent colors. At a shop, we are offered a fruit that not even Kori knows. It tastes like cucumber, but also like melon and looks like a light eggplant. Another fruit looks similar but even lighter and tastes slightly sweeter. The woman also invites us to try the lunch. There is rice, papaya salad, cooked pumpkin, and meat. Lisi only tastes a little bit of the papaya salad - it's too spicy for her. We all have some rice and Kori also receives a portion in a plastic bag. In Thailand, a lot of food is packaged in plastic bags. Then we continue on foot to the orange plantations and with a basket and scissors, we can harvest oranges. There is a very good orange juice to drink. It is already 2 pm - and as it should be - Kori is hungry. We sit on a terrace with a beautiful view and order our food. This time there are pictures of the outdoor dish drying rack and the kitchen. The food was freshly cooked and tasted really excellent.
