flown, landed, driven from Pamplona to Estella

After our flight was rescheduled from noon to evening and we also took off late... we arrived in Madrid. Fortunately, the next flight from Madrid to Pamplona had a later departure, so we still made our connecting flight.

In Madrid, when boarding the plane, we saw our bicycles and of course, we were relieved.

At half past eleven (at night), we and the bikes arrived. And now they still have to be assembled... everything worked out and we were "kicked out" by the airport staff on time at midnight. But fortunately, we were finished. There was some air in it, so we could search for and find the hotel in the darkness, but fortunately, under the full moon.

We arrived at the hotel at midnight and could take care of the bike and human. So off to bed and sleep. That worked wonderfully and to our surprise, we woke up at eight o'clock in the morning.

At 10 o'clock we were back in the saddle after a bar breakfast. Later, this was improved in a bakery with croissants and coffee.

Then there was a visit to the bull monument and off to Logroño. Although we already knew that Estella is more realistic.

On the way, there were two sights. A Maria church and a famous bridge called Puerto Reina.

For lunch, I bought something at a gas station since all shops are closed. We had it at a bus stop because it kept raining lightly. This rain then increased, and we were soon both in full gear with raincoats. The rain partially turned into snow and hail. When lightning and thunderstorm came up, we found shelter in a house corner. We don't want to be grilled by lightning...

Arriving in Estella, we asked at two hostels and then found a place on our own in a hostel. 5-bed room. Practical and cold. Yes, it is cold here. Eight degrees in the morning and everything is possible up to 18 degrees during the day.

Now it's time to shower and then look for food ;-)
