Whitehorse and Kluane NP

Great weather in Whitehorse made us stay a day. We took it easy in the hot spring pools for 3h then got supplies at the outdoor "grocery" and had a fantastic early dinner at Klondike Ribs and Salmon. Soooo good. 

Next day ride to Haines Junction. Entrenc to Kluane NP which Gerry adviced. 3days great weather precasted!! 

Yesterday we planned a hike to the peak of kings throne 2000m _ 6000feet. 1300m 4000feet elevation gain from camp. We had our lunch break after 3h and about 1100m 3300feet elevation gain. Rain and wind came in and we as well as the few others going up decided to return. So no view into the endless ice field an glaciers but a unbelievable one in the valley and on Kathleen lake. Still we ended the day with a 900g ribeye steak cooked on our fire place. 

Today we plan a 14k hike. 

Tomorrow we will ride into Alaska!! Most probably a rain ride. Who cares. Stop at Tok.
