Rijeka

We were in Rijeka in the rainiest month of the year. In a city where it rained more last year than in London.

What do you do when it rains a lot? You buy an umbrella, jump in puddles, get weird looks from passersby, and spend the rest of the time at home.

For four days, we mainly stayed with Željan, our host whom we found through Couchsurfing, on the couch watching movies and talking.

Željan is only 22, but has already experienced a lot for his age. He has worked on cargo ships for the past few years and is now studying Nautical Science.

Within 2 years, he spent 1.5 years on ships and has seen a lot from Cuba to India.

It was a lot of fun to just hang out and watch movies. Almost like home ;)
