Kingston:
Very small but beautiful city. In my opinion, an hour stay in Kingston would have been enough.
Except for a small pretty downtown, there wasn't much to see in Kingston. The good thing was that there was an outlet right next to our hotel, so we had some time for shopping 😂. In the evening, we had a delicious Greek meal.
Lake Placid:
Olympic city of 1932 and 1980.
On the way to Lake Placid, we took a two-hour beautiful boat tour at the 1000 Islands between Canada and the USA. It's a pity that nobody from my family has a cottage with a boat garage on an island 😂.
The landscape around Lake Placid is absolutely beautiful. Hotel with a view of the mountains and a lake.
North Conway:
We left for North Conway pretty early because the driving time was 5 hours. Nevertheless, we were able to make stops at cafes, a gorge, and viewpoints.
Highway 112 led right through the forest, so we could even see a moose 😊.
In North Conway itself, there wasn't much going on. However, the hotel (Merrill Farm Resort Inn) was an absolute highlight as it used to be a farm and was converted into a small pretty hotel with 60 rooms.
Boston:
We set off early again because we wanted to make stops in Burlington and Manchester.
In the afternoon, we arrived in Boston. Five minutes after we checked in, a fire alarm went off, but it turned out to be a false alarm. It was actually quite funny because many guests stayed comfortably in their rooms while my sister panicked and ran to the lobby 😂.
Then we followed the Freedom Trail, a red line on the ground that runs past special landmarks.
This morning we went on a whale watching tour 😊🐳. Today I saw whales and dolphins in nature for the first time 😍. Afterwards, we ate in a market hall and took a sightseeing tour of Boston by bus. We all love Boston because the city is very clean and has its own charm.
