FEAR

After the fear of getting the virus itself, my concern is whether my year abroad can go as planned.

A few weeks ago, my attitude was 'oh, it won't be that bad, it's safe in China' - well Melina, you were wrong. I have such an incredible fear that I won't be allowed to leave the country in August, now that everything is perfect with my host family and I no longer fear leaving for 10 months. It is my big dream and if Corona ruins it for me, I don't know what I would do. I need this year away - to get to know myself better and experience new things, to grow and gain more confidence.

I hope so much that if I can't go to NC in the summer, I can at least go for six months (departure would be around the beginning of 2021).

I am so curious to see how everything will develop and how Corona will continue to affect our lives.
