After leaving the ferry yesterday, the Italian police made us wait. Why? No idea. The temperature was about 3 degrees, very foggy. After about 45 minutes, our passports were checked. Due to Covid, we were not asked about it in Greece or here. After that, we continued driving until the border crossing in Kufstein - Kiefersfelden. The welcome here was not very friendly, as I was scolded for driving too fast to the border crossing. Really? I asked. He informed me that the speed limit was 10 kilometers per hour, and I was probably going 50-60. I apologized and saw a slight grin on his face. Burki also received a scolding for not buckling up, as we are in Germany. Somehow, we still haven't really arrived 😅 but now we have. The drive here was pleasant, with snow-covered mountains under the full moon, skiers, illuminated ski lifts, and beautifully illuminated castles. We found a parking spot close to the highway with electricity, so no one had to freeze. We are now driving to Erding, where we will meet Farina tonight. When we arrived in Erding, I spontaneously wanted to go to the thermal bath. The additional rapid test took about 45 minutes, then another 15 minutes of waiting. And then I was told to wait again because I didn't have a reservation. I gave up on that because I didn't have that much time. But now I know that I'm currently Covid-negative 😅 Instead, I went for a run because I was freezing from standing around. The parking spot has a warm shower, which is great.
