Hello dear ones,
After work, we were allowed to go on a trip to the beach with our boss (Paul).
It was a dreamy change of pace. Not only to work with our boss, but also to go on a trip with him.
We drove about 25 minutes to the beach. There are exactly 2 families living there.
The beach is very long, so we only got out briefly to enjoy the air and water. Then we hopped back in the car and drove along the beach for about 15 minutes. It would have taken us 3 times as long on foot. When we reached the end of the beach, we got out and continued on foot. You can't imagine it, endless sea on one side and huge mountains on the other. I always get scolded for being too slow... someone has to take the pictures... and I always want the perfect picture, which takes a bit longer :D
We walked along the lagoon and over a bridge into the forest. After a short steep section, we reached a tunnel. People used to use it to transport things from one side of the mountain to the other. It's impressive how they mastered that. Plus, it's only a very narrow path on the other side, right next to the sea.
Paul told us this story as we stood there looking out to sea.
On the way back, we walked back to the car over the bridges and along the lagoon. Of course, the men walked ahead and I took some beautiful pictures. Suddenly, something rustled behind me... I turned around and looked. Luckily, I was walking a bit slower because there was a small seal behind me. It was so cute and even sat down for a moment so that I could take a picture of it. The men were already waiting for me, and when I showed them the picture of the seal, they were amazed. Daniel was able to see it briefly before it disappeared back into the sea. On the way back, we made a stop at an old gold mine drilling machine that had already collapsed. It was a very interesting day. I saw a seal up close in the wild for the first time and managed to photograph it.
