Egmont National Park

We have set out to climb Mount Taranaki, so we are staying at the foot of the volcano.

We start at sunrise. The view is amazing, we can see as far as Tongariro National Park.

The first stage to the hut was easy and pleasant to walk.

Then came a few steps.

And then it's just steep uphill over rocks and rubble.

In the crater... It's not far to the top now.

We made it, we reached the top.

In the evening, we had a great sunset in New Plymouth on the beach as a reward.

The next few days we have to wait out the rain.

The rain is over, let's go to Pouakai Tarn. Unfortunately, it was cloudy when we arrived at the top.
