June 20, 2018 Büsum

This morning at 3:00 a.m., several large barges passed by our lock. Silvia was so fascinated that she couldn't sleep anymore and had to watch the hustle and bustle. So we got up early today because we wanted to cover some distance. At 8:00 a.m., we started driving towards Büsum, and we had to cross the Elbe River on a ferry, which is over 5 km wide where we crossed it.

When we arrived in Büsum, the weather was beautiful, so we decided to ride our e-bikes to Friedrichskog, which is 30 km away. There, we visited a seal sanctuary. The seal sanctuary was very interesting, and the 60 km bike ride was even quite tiring with the e-bike.

Afterwards, we strolled through the town before preparing our dinner in front of the camper van.
