Day 37: Luxury Attractions

Sentosa Island is another attraction in Singapore. The artificially created island is essentially a theme park with no admission fee, only the various activities that can be done there cost something. In the morning, we took the MRT to the "Harbour Front" station. There is the "Vivo City", another one of the countless shopping malls, from which an elevated train leads to Sentosa Island. Since this ride costs something, we decided to cross the bridge on foot. On the island, we first went to the Universal Studios, where a huge rotating globe stands in the middle of the square. Then we walked past a huge Merlion replica towards the beach. Our goal was to reach the southernmost point of Continental Asia, so we decided to go to the small island of "Palawan Island", which is connected to Sentosa via a suspension bridge. There we climbed to the viewing platform and enjoyed the view of the sea and Sentosa Island. Afterwards, we refreshed ourselves with a small snack before heading back. Since the Sentosa Express, which connects the mainland with Sentosa Island, is free on the way back, we took the elevated train back. From Vivo City, we returned to our accommodation to freshen up a bit, because in the evening we went to Marina Bay Sands again. On the rooftop of the luxury hotel is, of course, one of the best sky bars. The Cé La Vi Restaurant offers a 360° view of Singapore's skyline. With an average price of 25 SG$ per drink, it is definitely not a cheap experience, but still highly recommended. Up there, we sipped our cocktails and enjoyed the breathtaking view of Singapore. We also watched the hotel's laser show from a completely different perspective. Afterwards, we went to the Marina Bay Sands mall again and looked for something to eat in the food court.
