This weekend we went to the carnival in Gualeguaychú, which is located in the province of Entre Rios about 2.5 hours away from Buenos Aires. The carnival here is a huge spectacle similar to Brazil. This show is presented every weekend and on holidays for about 2 months or even longer. It started at 9pm, but the parade actually started around 10pm. We left at midnight because the kids were pretty tired, but the parade was not over yet. For Argentinians, that's still early and it's normal to sit in restaurants with children at 10 or 11pm.
At the carnival, 4 major carnival clubs compete each year to determine who is the best, and the atmosphere is incredible. Food and drinks are delivered to your seat as waiters constantly walk through the rows.
It was truly a great experience for everyone involved!
On the first day, we went to a great Parilla for dinner. We could watch the meat being grilled, and it was also an experience for the kids...
On the last day of our stay, we visited the Villa Elisa thermal resort and that's where I encountered this hairy spider. Of course, we had to take a picture of it...
