Ferry from Vopnafjörður to Kirkwall, September 4, 2024

The second to last sea day before the final port. As soon as we left Iceland, the sky is a bright blue and the temperature is pleasant. We have engaged in the usual activities, listened to presentations, made plans, talked with many people we have met over the three and a half weeks, bathed outside in the warm water, etc. Today is also the last 'formal evening,' where one should dress somewhat nicely. But especially the Americans take it quite casually regarding clothing.  

Tomorrow, we will be in Kirkwall on the Orkneys and will visit the impressive Neolithic remains (New Stone Age).
