Photos of the Interpretation Center of the First Inhabitants of Europe Josep Gibert in Orce (Granada), where exhibits showcase various famous archaeological sites in the municipality of Orce, where scientists have claimed that the first inhabitants of the European continent lived several million years ago (the Orce sites, however, are candidates to be recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, just like Atapuerca in Burgos). In this interesting prehistoric museum lies the crown jewel of the Orce sites: the authentic skull of the well-known Man of Orce, considered to be the oldest human in the European continent, dated between 1.3 and 1.6 million years old.

Entry to the Interpretation Center currently costs about €2.00 per person. In August, it opens every day (Monday to Sunday). The rest of the year, it depends on the established schedule.
