We're taking a long distance. In the evening we take the coach to Cusco in 10 hours for 13 euros per person. Extremely cheap. Awesome luxury. Only I can't sleep with something like this again. It hops there and here.
Before we got on the bus we were in the shopping zone. We wanted to withdraw cash - which is not that easy. A maximum of 100 euros and then 6 euros due. Wtf. But we were able to withdraw 170 euros from Caja Bank and without any fees!
Quickly made Laura happy and bought local pastries. And waited for the bus way too early again. But it was also interesting. People ship mattresses, large packages and even animals here. Oh well. It was quite interesting
When we arrived in Cusco (3400 meters) broken and exhausted in the morning, we took a taxi to the hotel. Unfortunately, check-in was not yet possible. But we were already allowed to leave our luggage.
We then went to have breakfast first. Found a cheap and delicious cafe. - We had delicious food there in the evening too.
Since it was Mary's conception, the city was bustling with music and performances. We looked at it that day.
We booked our planned local excursions with PV Travel.
In the morning there was a big military parade, which was really interesting. There was live music in the evenings.
In the afternoon we walked through the city and looked at the temples and city ruins.
I really feel like shit. But the trip to Moray and the salt mines is coming. Let's go.
Moray - the round thing in the pictures - was built by the Incas. Guess what for?
But here too, an entrance fee of 17 euros was charged or a Boletta de Touristico. We needed this the day before anyway and got the thing for 10 days.
But 17 euros for a hole like that wouldn't have been worth it to us...
We arrived back in the old town of Cusco around 3 p.m.
I was feeling worse and worse, so we quickly grabbed something to go from our restaurant in the Plaza de Mayor and ran to the room because storms were approaching.
The thermometer then showed 38.7 and head pain and coughing began.
So we went to sleep early.
Cover your head and sleep. The trip to Machu Picchu was supposed to take place tomorrow. Luckily we were able to postpone it for another day. Hiking (10 kilometers) would be out of the question. Unfortunately, Laura now gets everything. Let's hope for a miracle cure. Good morning and good night!
